all right we had 8 guys playing in a live garage tourney this past sunday.
with two players in a drunk guy from the small blinds says what he is holding before he folds... what happens next...? i am in the big blind and i complain that this is wrong...the guy running the tourney says it is completely fine and table talk is legal in poker. he says anyone can say what they have because they could be bluffing... i utterly disagree and so does 3 others at the table but the guy running it will not back down from his stance...i proceed to ask himthe question if he thinks it is o.k. if i tell everyone my hand the rest of the game and he says yes that is fine... so i proceed to tell everyone my cards the rest of the game without lying about the cards once and take second in the tourney...
i guess what i really am looking for here is a site or a list rules adressing this... i understand that is wrong to tell people what your holding i did this to get my point across... it didn't work the guy still believes it is o.k.... this was the worst tourney i was ever in... everyone was drunk and at one point there was so much bickering that the blinds were raised after 3 hands... can anyone help?
